From participation to power.
katiliyorum.org (“I participate”) is the web platform of “From Participation to Power: Young Women Claiming Civic & Political Space in Türkiye”, a 12-month project (April 2026 – March 2027) implemented by Sosyal İklim Derneği (Social Climate Association, İzmir) with the support of UN Women under the EU-funded programme “Strong Civic Space for Equality and Women’s Empowerment – Phase II”.
The project works with young women aged 15–35 in Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Antalya and Gaziantep, with particular attention to refugee women, women with disabilities and women from low-income or rural neighbourhoods.
What the platform does
- Resource centre on technology-facilitated violence against women and girls (TF VAWG), digital safety, AI-related risks (deepfakes, algorithmic bias, automated harassment) and pathways to civic and political participation. Content is in Turkish and grounded in Turkish law and support services.
- Members-only community forum with open registration (pseudonyms welcome), topic categories and threaded replies. Members can start a topic, reply and leave supportive reactions. Posts appear without prior approval; rule violations can be reported to moderators.
If you are in danger now
- 112Emergency (ambulance, police, fire). 112 is Türkiye’s single emergency number.
- 183Social support line of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, for information on support and referral to the relevant services.
- KADESMobile app for requesting help in cases of violence against women.
Privacy and moderation
- Members use a display name. Email addresses are not shown to other members; they are used for sign-in, verification and password recovery.

- Moderators review reports and can remove content, lock topics or suspend accounts. Moderation actions are recorded.
- For details about stored data, service providers and processing locations, see the privacy notice (currently in Turkish).
